Job Full Description:
The Role
To manage the efficient running of the medical centre including General Practice, Dental, Radiology and Treatment Rooms and provide support to Health Care Professionals (HCPs).
HCP & Patient Services
- Explain & promote the intent & the details of the SOPs & reinforce their importance;
- Provide appropriate staff & optimal rosters to deliver requirements & match patient flow within each centre;
- Implement admin systems & work processes that drive professionalism & good medicine;
- Implement measurement systems as directed by your manager to monitor performance & drive behaviour
- Continued focus on quality improvement that aims at making a difference to patients by improving safety, effectiveness, and experience of care
Learning & Development
- Understand the training needs of each Centre & promote a customer focus amongst staff;
- Implement & champion a “Waste Minimisation” program that engages staff & delivers efficiencies;
- Encourage staff feedback for improvements & efficiencies in operational processes.
People Management
- Ensure all staff have all tools to manage the efficient & effective delivery of their work;
- Build staff confidence, trust in management & reward desired behaviour & performance;
- Encourage an understanding of the needs of others within all departments.
Workplace, Health & Safety
- Act as a role model for WHS in your practice
- Ensure WHS policies and procedures are implemented into day to day operations
- Ensure all personnel on site, including visitors and contractors adhered to our WHS policies and procedures
- Ensure workplace inspections and audits are completed
- Ensure Hazards are reported using the appropriate Hazard report tool and follow up on c actions to correct any hazards identified
- Identify any emerging risks and participate in risk register reviews / risk assessments
- Report all incidents or injuries as soon as possible but no longer than 24hrs to management using the appropriate incident reporting procedure or via phone / email if a serious incident has occurred Investigate minor incidents and support RMs in investigating more serious incidents
- Ensure any corrective actions identified during incident investigation(s) are implemented
- Ensure our injury management policy is followed and assist with workers compensation claims and return to work plans
- Support workers and their right to stop work if they feel the task cannot be completed safety
- Facilitate regular WHS meetings and communications with the workforce
