A well-established and growing disability services organisation is seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to join their clinical team. This provider offers Supported Independent Living (SIL) and community-based supports to individuals with sensory, intellectual, and physical disabilities. Role Overview
The Behaviour Support Practitioner will manage a varied caseload, providing assessment, planning, intervention, and monitoring for individuals with complex behavioural needs. Responsibilities include developing Positive Behaviour Support Plans, working closely with clients and their support networks, and driving sustainable improvements in wellbeing, safety, and community participation.

The role involves conducting functional behaviour assessments, data analysis, tailored strategy development, and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. All activities align with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely, client-centred behaviour support aligned with individual goals

  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments, including risk and data analysis

  • Develop, implement, and review Positive Behaviour Support Plans

  • Provide specialised interventions for clients with multiple or co-occurring disabilities

  • Collaborate with families, carers, allied health professionals, and support staff

  • Produce clear, high-quality reports meeting NDIS requirements

  • Monitor restrictive practices and support strategies to reduce their use

  • Engage in team meetings, case reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

Job Experience

Minimum two years' experience in behaviour support planning or related role

Job Education

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Community Services, or related discipline

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain

  • Unrestricted right to work in Australia

  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (car allowance provided)
